Youth engagement through the RyeACT Youth Action Team is the heart and soul of the coalition’s work. Research shows that connection to peers is a powerful protective factor against risky behavior, including substance use. When we make connections, youth to youth, we can make a real change in our community.
As a youth-serving agency, the Rye Youth Council (RYC) is a natural partner with RyeACT, supporting youth in making healthy choices. Founded over fifty years ago, RYC provides programs and services for children and teens that foster positive behaviors, encourage social-emotional growth and challenge them to see the world beyond themselves.
