Ultimately the best prevention begins at home. RyeACT engages parents in the community in a variety of ways, including providing parent education and information throughout the year across numerous platforms. Liaisons have been established with each of our school parent organizations to ensure regular dialogue between parents and coalition leadership.
The Rye City School District (RCSD) is proud to have been an early member of RyeACT. The data from a bi-annual drug and alcohol survey of 7th – 12th graders informs the coalition’s strategic planning process. The District also supports RyeACT via the active participation of its administrators, social workers, and health professionals and through support of the Youth Action Team.
