Maintaining a balance between prevention and enforcement is crucial to the coalition’s success. Our partners at the Rye Police Department have invested in officer training, instituted the Adopt-A-School program, and started an anonymous TIPS line to help keep youth safe and to minimize drug-related activity in the community.
The City of Rye has been an active partner in RyeACT since its inception through the work of various departments. The Recreation Department provides countless pro-social youth activities and meeting space for coalition events. City Council is involved at the policy level, enacting local ordinances to keep our community and our youth healthy and safe.
